Located in the heart of the White Mountains, this particular grove of Bristle Cone Pine Trees holds some of the oldest living things on earth. Ironically, the oldest
of the trees was cut down to figure out how old it was. That brave tree waited over five thousand years just to be hacked down by some goon scientist who was too impatient
to wait for the proper tools. Fortunately there are a bunch of other trees and the current oldest is estimated to be about 4,500 years old. There's something special and amazing
about being surrounded by living things that dwarf my own concept of time. To me, Jesus was a loooong time ago, but these trees were half grown by the time all that Roman chaos was erupting.
