It seems that since I know this place more then any other place I'd be able to write more about it, but I'm at a loss for words when it comes to describing Tuolumne.
There's no words that can do it justice. You can say "it's big, pretty, with lots of trees" or you could say that "Tuolumne is the grandest vision ever beheld by man. It's
essence seeps into your soul and creates changes that last a life time. It's the type of beauty that you carry with you forever." The problem is that both descriptions are lame compared to the reality.
Pictures don't really do it justice either, but this is the internet. This is all we got, so that's all you get.

Here's my office. This is one of my regular spots for painting. Usually off to the right there. To the south there's the Cathedral Range and to the east is the easternmost crest of the Sierra Nevada. (the picture below is facing east)
It's a toy store if you're an artist - mountains, rivers, meadows, whatever, it's all there.

Here's a photo of me going to work. This photo brings forth so many memories and good feelings. You can't beat a commute like this. Even if you do have to get up and walk a ways and it's usually cold
outside, and I'm tired and my bed was so warm and I'm hungry cause I didn't have time to eat. The complaint list goes on. It always does no matter what one does. There's always something to complain about.
I guess the difference lies in the sincerity of the complaints. I list all these annoyances in jest because look at that photo. Look where I am. Look at the day, the meadow the trees, etc. It's what
you might call incredible. Morning sketching out in Yosemite made me appreciate morning sketching out in DC. The only difference was in subject matter and who really cares what is being painted, so
long as something is being painted.
