Orientation to Vision loss is a piece that brings up questions
relating to the 3D environment and the world we’re creating today.
The main character in the piece is reduced to the only sense that matters in the digital realm – his vision. He finds himself having to be judged on this and is leary of the consequences if he fails.
A simple vision test becomes a struggle for survival. If one loses his only sense available, what's left?
Vision has and always will be the paramount sense. It doesn’t matter if we are talking about reality or virtual reality, past or present. To lose ones vision has greater consequences beyond sudden darkness. Blindness puts one on the outskirts of a society that relies more and more on computers everyday. This animation is simply a metaphor for the possibilities in our own world.
